PE

At Ludgershall Castle Primary School, we recognise the importance PE plays in the curriculum and are committed to providing all children with opportunities to engage fully in all aspects of PE. We want all children to have knowledge and understanding of PE and fully appreciate the impact it has on fitness and healthy lifestyles. We want children to develop sportsmanship, fairness and respect through the sports and activities they undertake.

We follow the Rising Stars scheme in PE to ensure that there is progression and continuity from our youngest children in Year R to the oldest children in  Year 6. They learn a range of skills and a variety of games.  Additionally there is a range of  extra curricular clubs that children can attend to apply the skills they have learnt.

All children have two hours of PE a week in addition  to swimming lessons in some year groups

To find out more about how PE is taught at Ludgershall Castle Primary School please explore the policies, progression maps and target documents below. If you require any more information or have any questions, then please contact the school office.
