As part of Year 6's computing programme, they were tasked with creating a web-page from scratch. The pupils decided that it would be nice to have a leavers page on Ludgershall Castle Primary website to be able to share some of their memories and activities with the school community, family and friends. We hope you enjoy their hard work!
Harry Potter Studios 4th July 2023
As part of the leavers school trip, year 6 and 5 went to Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour in Leavesden, Hertfordshire. It was a magical experience and will be one of our favourite memories. First we had a lesson on the characters clothing and how they came up with the different colours and materials - it was very interesting! We then had the opportunity to walk around and see some of the original sets and props from all the Harry Potter films and much much more. Please some photos below. (Amelia Year 6)
Shakespeare Rock 13th July 2023
Year 5 and 6 performed a magnificent play to all the students and parents. The play came in seven parts, the first was about Williams Shakespeare and his family, secondly it was William and his fans. Next Will met the Queen Elizabeth the First for a Royal performance. Street and his builders handed William and his wife Ann the very large bill for the Globe Theatre and then came the Sorcerers and witches who tried to stop Banqo and Mac from saying MacBeth! Romeo and Juliet came next with their romantic dance and song. Finally we see William 'dyeing' in his final scene with Ann. Some of the songs included Will's Wonderful Words, No Girls Allowed, Show in Globe and Don't Mention Mac. We hope the parents and students all liked it? (Logan AKA William Shakespeare, year 6)
St James' Church
Year 6 Leavers Service 14th July 2023
On Friday year 6 had a church leavers service held by St James' Church. Prayers and poems were read along with fun activities which included writing the fruits of the spirits on pieces of wood. We used bright colours and drew pictures to go along with our words. A special thanks to St James' church for the amazing service! (Kianna year 6)
Staff V Year 6 Rounders Match
18th July 2023
The year 6's enjoyed their rounders match against the staff this week. It was lovely to see all the other year groups come out to cheer on both the year 6's and the staff! We all loved being able to compete against the staff and even had our own cheerleaders and pom poms! Unfortunately the teachers did win this year but we all still had lots of fun! (Opal year 6)
Year 6 Leavers Pizza Party
During our year 6 pizza party, we had many activities organised, thanks to the staff. We had giant Snakes and Ladders, giant playing cards, a photo booth, badminton, dress-up and a glitter station! These were all fun and we enjoyed them all. My favourite activity was the glitter station! Then came the pizza with many different flavours and for dessert we had biscuits. When we had finished eating we had some time to take pictures with our friends and use the photo booth, this was followed by the water fight which we all enjoyed so much! (Sydney year 6)
Year 6 Leavers Assembly
On Wednesday 19th July year 6 had their leavers assembly, which along with the staff we worked incredibly hard on. We performed some of our favourite Shakespeare Rocks songs (To be or not be and Show in the Globe). We also shared our favourite memories and advice for the next year 6's. These included memories about our school trips and Harry Potter and Chessington World of Adventure were two of our favourite! The best advice we gave to the next year 6's was to enjoy their last year at school and not to stress about SATS or test. We hope you all enjoyed the 2023 Leavers Assembly?
