At Ludgershall Castle Primary School we aim to provide the pupils with the opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of the beliefs and practices of Christians and people of other principle world religions, and non-religious world views. Our lessons promote respect and tolerance of others within our diverse society.
RE is taught every week by our school staff with regular additional lessons and readings from our local Church for each class.
As a school we are transitioning to a new scheme that has been approved by Wiltshire. Currently Reception to Year 3 are following the Emmanuel Project whilst Year 4 to Year 6 still follow our previous scheme, Discovery RE. Both schemes expand children's knowledge of specific religions (Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Islam and Humanism) over the years.
To find out more about how RE is taught at Ludgershall Castle Primary School please explore the policies, progression maps and target documents below. If you require any more information or have any questions, then please contact the school office.
